Fed: BHP coal workers strike for 24 hours = 3

BHP coal spokesman Ian Dymmock said the snap strike was extremely disappointing.

He denied union claims BHP Coal was enforcing Pilbara conditions on the coal industry workforce.

"There's enterprise agreements that cover all our mines, and we have been working very
well with the unions to achieve workplace change," he told AAP.
