--Tieto names Finnair top executive as CFO

2 March 2011 - Finnish IT company Tieto Oyj (HEL: TIE1V) said today that Lasse Heinonen, currently deputy CEO at Finnair Oyj (HEL: FIA1S), would join its team as CFO and executive vice president (EVP) on 16 May 2011.
Heinonen will be responsible for finance, treasury, corporate ICT, risk management, procurement as well as communications and investor relations.

Before joining Finnair in 2004, he held CFO and supply chain management positions in the pharmaceutical industry, in companies such as Novartis AG (VTX: NOVN) and Sandoz Inc, in Switzerland, Turkey and Finland.

Tieto's current CFO, Seppo Haapalainen, will continue in his position until responsibilities are transferred.
