Fed: Steady unemployment sign stimulus is working: Gillard

CANBERRA, Aug 6 AAP - A better than expected unemployment figure for July shows the
Rudd government's stimulus programs are working to support jobs, Employment Minister Julia
Gillard says.

But the jobless figure of 5.8 per cent showed the global recession was still affecting
the labour market, she said.
